The year 2012 has produced remarkable cinema elsewhere as "Post Tenebras Lux" from Mexico is the only 2012 movie to enter my personal top 100 film list because of its unique characteristics never attempted before in cinema.Jugu Abrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03168705724665556320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33415680.post-84712404209432374052012-12-02T23:05:06.290+05:302012-12-02T23:05:06.290+05:30Wow... what else can I say! Sadly, I missed the opportunity to read your analysis prior to composing my own.

After watching Life of Pi, I left the movie-theater in a state of utter confusion. I just didn't know what to make out of the movie except that it was a digitally created visual spectacle. From what I had heard about Martel's novel, especially it being un-filmable, I was absolutely certain that Lee must have pulled a trick or too of his own to make the movie a reality. But, judging by what you have mentioned in your review, I think he went a bit too far in order to satisfy his commercial needs. And, I personally find it quite disheartening. Now, thanks to your analysis, I know what I actually missed and why I felt so confused and dejected while leaving the cinema hall.

But, I still have some questions about the movie's ending (the alternate story that Pi narrates in the end). Sir, could you please explain the symbolism involved in a separate mail or a message (from the perspective of the novel as well as the book)?

Also, please do checkout my review of Life of Pi:

http://www.apotpourriofvestiges.com/2012/11/life-of-pi-2012-ang-lees-visually.html Murtaza Ali Khanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09747183316188241022noreply@blogger.com
