He provokes and does not give answers or solutions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33415680.post-16354058469058047112011-02-07T10:02:14.798+05:302011-02-07T10:02:14.798+05:30Yes, it's a stunning movie. In two and a half hours I think there's one smile in there, no laugh, nothing to relieve the anguish. Bardem is, as usual, a compelling actor who owns the screen. But the past 3 movies I've seen have put me into a deep, deep funk. "Biutiful," "Blue Valentine," and "Rabbit Hole." I think I'll stay home and watch "Glee" for a couple of weeks. One note of caution: don't see "Biutiful" if you're depressed or live in a rat-hole.Gerry Mandelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08516124652849272879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33415680.post-56085334823096747242011-01-13T04:55:01.677+05:302011-01-13T04:55:01.677+05:30I agree the director Alejandro González Iñárritu m...I agree the director Alejandro González Iñárritu makes stunning movies. Babel is not my favourite, even though he got probably the most PR due to the A-listed stars playing in it. Therefore, his following movies must gotten better. In fact I believe that Iñárritu already entered the highest league of directors with his "Amores Perros" and " 21 Gramms". Both great movies and he directed them before "Babel". However, I can't wait to watch "Biutiful".
