Ikiru has been one Kurosawa movie that I have always found hard to appreciate. I always thought that may be I need to watch it again. After reading your review, I know for sure that I have to watch it again. It's difficult to imagine that I actually missed so much when I had watched it back in 2010. The parallels that you have drawn with Faust compel me to revisit it almost immediately. Also, I hadn't the foggiest that Kurosawa's films have been a part of scientific studies. Now, I am certain that I will have to read this review a least half a dozen times more to be able to fully grasp everything that it offers. I will definitely be back for more once have re-watched it.Murtaza Alihttp://www.apotpourriofvestiges.com/noreply@blogger.com
